Celtic finally ended the wait for their first ever piece of silverware last night (Wed 12 May) when they defeated Spartans 4-1 in the Premier League Cup Final of Scottish women’s football.
Celtic and Scotland ace, Jo Love, got her team off to the start they wanted, scoring on 20 minutes. Team-mate Christie Murray added to Celtic’s lead, to make the Hoops 2-0 up at half time.
In the second half, both Murray and Love added another, before Spartans’ Claire Crosbie, headed home a consolation goal from a corner.
